Appointed in October 2022 to divert an existing water main to enable 2 new site entrances off an existing roundabout. The highway works consisted of earthworks, new foul water drainage, 1200mm diameter concrete pipes for surface water and new road and footway construction to Derbyshire County Council adoptable standards. 

Upon completion of the S278 works RSS were instructed to complete 300m of access road and a 200m long gabion wall within the new development. 

All works were completed on program and within budget this was a challenging site with very pour ground conditions and working through the winter months with a high-water table this was not an easy task. However our dedicated workforce accepted the challenging conditions and completed the project on schedule.
