In February of 2023 RSS were tasked with installing a new concrete Haul road from the entrance of Aggrecom (A local aggregate contractor) to their material storage area at the opposite end of their site. The sites existing entrance required closure for the duration of the works and access was granted through the neighbouring company’s site. Due to this measure, it was imperative that the works were carried out on the tightest possible programme. Works consisted of a reduce level dig due to the existing road being 600mm higher than the proposed, connection into the existing culvert, new surface water drainage including gullies, attenuation and flow control chambers, new kerbs and a brushed finished concrete slab.
