The existing site footprint required breaking out to then be crushed for reuse on site. Upon completion of the onsite material processing new foundations were poured with high strength steel fibred concrete to enable the quick assembly of the plant. Works also included concrete yard paving with a brush finish, new substation base enabling the existing one to be decommissioned, wedge pit and a new aggregate storage area created from Alpha blocks. An existing High Voltage substation situated in the centre of the site needed to remain live for the duration of the work.
